Valentino Rossi was left frustrated after a crash early in qualifying for the Indianapolis Grand Prix left him languishing down in 14th place on the grid.
The seven-time world champion lost the front end of his Ducati during the 10th minute of the session, forcing a switch to the spare bike for the remainder.
